Cash Runway Free Template

The workbook keeps things intentionally simple with 3 tabs:

1. Cover – title page
2. Company Info – company name, business type, currency, starting year, and start date
3. Cash Runway – the full 24-month Runway Analysis Excel tracker, from opening cash through to your calculated runway in months

The Cash Runway tab tracks the following for each month, across a rolling 24-month timeline:

• Cash at Start of Month — your opening cash balance, carried forward automatically from the prior month's closing balance
• Fund Raised — any capital injections (equity or debt) received that month
• Cash In — operating cash received during the month (revenue collections, other income)
• Cash Out — total cash spent during the month (your burn)
• Cash at End of Month — automatically calculated as opening cash plus fund raised plus cash in, minus cash out
• Cash Runway (Months) — your ending cash balance divided by your monthly burn rate, showing exactly how many months of runway remain at that point

Because each month's opening balance is pulled directly from the previous month's closing balance, the whole 24-month timeline stays linked and updates automatically as you enter new actuals.
